Earlier this year Sentient was announced as a finalist at the PWC Hi Tech awards. This is a significant award attracting global attention with a high profile international judging panel including Michael Dell and Cisco’s Howard Charney. It’s been a very good year and we are very pleased to receive this recognition. Past award winners represent some of NZ’s biggest names including Rakon, Navman, Peace Software and Tait.
This year the awards had a record number of entries and an “exceptionally high standard among the entrants” (Scott Kerse Quoted in the National Business Review, March 27, 2009), so we were most appreciative of this recognition.  You may have seen some coverage in the press over the last few months, here is a summary.
The finals night in Christchurch was a brilliant evening with over 400 people in attendance. Although we did not win the award it was a great event and an honour to be part of. We particularly liked the section acknowledging the early innovators of our industry, people like Angus Tait that lead the way for NZ Hi Tech.
Thanks to the customers and partners that attended the event. We look forward to delivering more results across our local and international markets over the next 12 months.
